How much do you want to trade today?
Combines the current picks of every module (AI Picks, Algo Trade, Mid & Small Caps, Top 10, 2–3 Day Study, News shorts…) with live prices and suggests a few stocks with entry, stop-loss and exit prices sized to your amount.
Before you trade: enter only when the price reaches the entry level and is on the right side of VWAP after 9:40 AM (the VWAP column shows green when it is: above VWAP for a buy, below for a short). Place the stop-loss immediately. Exit at the target, at the stop, or at 3:15 PM, whichever comes first. These picks come from strategies that have not yet passed validation (see Summary and Backtest Lab), so start with paper trades or small sizes. Quantities assume no leverage.

How to use this page
Shows the market mood for the day and the 5 stocks the engine scores most strongly. LONG WATCH means the stock may go up; SHORT WATCH means it may go down.
- Check the banner and the NIFTY, SENSEX and India VIX tiles first. If VIX is jumping, the market is nervous: trade smaller or sit out.
- Use the Intraday trade planner: enter your amount, maximum loss per trade and number of stocks. It suggests stocks picked by the modules, with entry, stop-loss, target and quantity. READY means the live price agrees; WAIT means not yet.
- Treat the Top 5 as a watchlist, not buy orders.
- Wait until 9:40 AM. Then open the stock in Stock Analyzer: go LONG only if the price is above VWAP with higher-than-usual volume; go SHORT only if it is below VWAP.
- Set a stop-loss before you enter. AI Picks shows a suggested stop price for its stocks; for others, a common choice is about half of the stock's normal daily range.
- Close all intraday trades by 3:15 PM.
Be careful: Backtests show the Top 5 score has not yet proven reliable. Use it to find stocks to watch, and confirm every trade yourself.
Today's recommendations and how yesterday's did
Every daily update logs each module's recommendations with the last traded price at the time. Once the next session closes, each pick gets that session's open and close and is scored long or short after a 0.10% cost. Scores settle on NSE's official closing price within three days and are then frozen, so the scoreboard shows which strategies hold up and which to refine.
Latest list from each module
Rows marked ● LIVE are being tested in today's session: the columns show today's open and the move so far, and they are scored at the close. Pending rows show the live price against the recommendation price. Prices refresh every 30 seconds. Direction-adjusted: a SHORT pick gains when the price falls.
Previous recommendations, scored
Which module's picks work
Hit = the pick made money from the next session's open to its close after costs. A few days of results are mostly noise: compare modules once each has 100+ scored picks, and refine the ones that stay below 50% or below zero.
Every logged recommendation
How to use this page
Collects every module's recommended stocks in one table, then shows how each pick actually did in the next session.
- Start with stocks tagged CONSENSUS: they were picked by two or more modules in the same direction.
- During market hours, rows marked ● LIVE show how today's picks are doing right now (move since the open, after costs).
- Use Next-day results to see yesterday's picks: ✓ Hit means the trade from open to close made money after costs.
- Check the Strategy scoreboard once a week. Trust a module more only when it has 100+ scored picks, a hit rate above 50% and a positive average.
- Stop following modules whose average stays negative week after week.
Be careful: One or two days of results mean nothing. Let the log build up for a few weeks before deciding which module to follow.
Next-session rising-stock watchlist
Choose a stock that is rising in the latest available session. The scanner compares its last three daily returns with rising stocks across curated large-, mid- and small-cap baskets.
Only symbols with a positive latest-session move and enough aligned daily data are eligible. Pattern similarity compares three daily percentage returns; it is not a probability, target price, or guarantee. Cap baskets are curated scan groups and should be checked against current market-cap classifications. Validate liquidity, news, execution costs and opening-session confirmation before acting.
How to use this page
Finds stocks that are rising today and whose last 3 days moved in a similar way to an “anchor” stock you choose.
- Type a stock that is rising today as the anchor (for example AXISBANK) and press Find matches.
- Higher similarity means a more similar recent price path. It does not mean a higher chance of profit.
- Next morning, watch these stocks for the first 30 minutes. Enter only if the rise continues above VWAP with strong volume.
- Skip stocks that open with a big gap up or down, and always use a stop-loss.
Be careful: In the Backtest Lab this strategy lost money after costs. Use it only for ideas.
Intraday Mid & Small Cap Scanner
Research candidates selected for unusual activity, tradability, recent 2–3 day movement, catalysts and confirmation potential. High volume alone is not a directional signal.
Pre-trade filters
Latest high-volume evidence
How to use this page
Ranks about 40 mid- and small-cap stocks by today's price move, volume and buy/sell pressure.
- Use Long-bias or Short-bias to see one direction; High-volume shows only actively traded stocks.
- The button at the end of each row tells you what to wait for, e.g. WAIT VWAP means wait for the price to cross VWAP before acting.
- Use smaller position sizes than for large caps: these stocks move fast and can hit their circuit limits.
- Avoid stocks marked High or Very High risk unless you are experienced.
Be careful: Mid and small caps have wider buy–sell spreads, so slippage can wipe out small gains. Backtests so far are negative after costs.

The Opportunity Score is the equal-weight mean of the engine's measured factor scores: 50 is neutral, 58 or more is a LONG WATCH, 42 or less a SHORT WATCH. It is a score, not a probability of profit. In the Backtest Lab this score has not yet shown a reliable next-session edge, so use it to shortlist stocks and confirm with VWAP, volume and the AI Picks module.
How to use this page
Analyze one stock breaks a single stock into up to 161 factors. Rank all stocks scores about 134 stocks and lists them from highest to lowest. Test a strategy replays an intraday strategy (Opening Range Breakout, VWAP Pullback, Weighted MA, Bollinger Bands, EMA + RSI) on real 5-minute candles with your own settings.
- Type a symbol and press Enter to see its score, candlestick chart and the factors pushing it up or down.
- Use Rank all stocks to make a shortlist: 58 or more = bullish watch, 42 or less = bearish watch. Use the score filter to narrow it.
- Click Analyze on a ranked stock to check its chart and strongest factors before doing anything.
- Confirm with the live price versus VWAP after 9:40 AM, and set a stop-loss.
- In Test a strategy, pick a strategy and stocks, change the settings, and press Run. Trust a setting only if the average per trade is positive after costs, it beats “Buy at open, sell at close”, and both halves of the test are positive. The Today box shows whether the strategy has a live signal now.
Be careful: The score summarises factors; it is not a profit probability. Strategy tests use past candles and can look better than live trading (slippage, fast markets). Avoid fine-tuning settings until one stock looks great: that usually fails on new data. The rank test found that higher scores did not lead to better next-day returns.
Strategy & factor validation
Replays every strategy on Kite daily candles. Each signal uses only data available at day t's close; the trade is the next session's open → close, net of costs. History-free factors (order book, derivatives, fundamentals, news) cannot be replayed and are listed separately.
Next-session intraday, net of costs
t-stat ≥ 2 and a similar first-half / second-half average are minimum evidence that an edge is not noise. Sharpe is annualised from daily portfolio returns (cash on no-signal days).

Daily desk picks vs the next session
Each daily update logs the home-screen Top 5 and scores them once the following session closes (open → close, direction-adjusted, 0.10% cost). This is forward evidence, not a backtest.
Rank IC vs next-session return
Spearman correlation of each factor score with the next open → close return, pooled over all stock-days. |IC| above ~0.03 is notable for daily data; hit rate counts scores beyond 50 ± 8.
Intraday Desk picks from 25 Sep 2026
What actually happened after the published snapshot. Direction-adjusted: a SHORT WATCH counts as a hit if the stock fell.
Does a higher Opportunity Score lead to a better next session?
Replays the Opportunity Score on every past session for all ~134 ranked stocks (Nifty 100 + Mid/Small), then trades the next session open → close after 0.10% cost. Daily candles only: live VWAP and order-book factors cannot be replayed, so the Summary page's “Score rank” module forward-tests the live version.
Average next-session open → close of each tenth of the daily ranking. A working score rises from left to right.
Daily bars only; intraday entries, VWAP and order-book factors are approximated or excluded. Universes are today's curated lists (survivorship bias). Results are in-sample on a short window and are research evidence, not a promise of future returns.
How to use this page
Tests each strategy on past data to see whether it would have made money after trading costs.
- Read the daily results first; they update automatically every trading day.
- Look at Avg / trade (after costs) and t-stat. A strategy is worth considering only if the average is positive, the t-stat is 2 or more, and both halves are positive.
- Compare each strategy with Always long every stock. A good strategy must beat it.
- The rank test panel shows whether higher Stock Analyzer scores led to better results. Rising deciles from left to right would mean yes.
- Sign in and press Run backtest to try other settings (universe, period, cost).
Be careful: Past results do not guarantee future results, and daily-bar tests cannot see exact intraday entry prices.
Algo trade stock picks
Scans every Nifty 100 stock for the most recent crossover of a short and a long simple moving average on daily closes. A bullish crossover is the short SMA moving above the long SMA; a bearish crossover is the reverse. Stocks are ranked by the most recent crossover first.
| No signals generated yet. |
Lookback days counts trading sessions. Close and SMA values are from the latest session; “since cross” is the price change from the crossover-day close. A crossover is a trend signal, not a guarantee; confirm with volume, the broader market and your own risk limits.
How to use this page
Shows Nifty 100 stocks where the short-term average price (6 days) recently crossed the longer-term average (30 days).
- Bullish means the short-term trend has turned up; Bearish means it has turned down.
- Focus on fresh crossovers (“Latest session” or “1 session ago”) that are Still holding.
- For intraday trading the next day: buy Bullish stocks only while the price stays above VWAP; short Bearish stocks only while it stays below.
- Change the inputs for slower signals (for example 10 and 50). Lookback days sets how far back to search for crossovers.
Be careful: Crossovers often fail when the market moves sideways. This module has not been backtested yet, so check its results on the Summary page first.
Next-session model picks
Stocks the model rates most likely to move more than costs in the next session. A pick is actionable only when the regime and event filters pass and, after 09:40, price confirms against VWAP with above-normal volume. Every position is sized by the risk engine.
—
Position sizing
—
During market hours the confirmation column updates every 30 seconds from live Kite quotes: entry only after 09:40, on the right side of session VWAP, with volume so far ≥ 1.2× its 20-day average for that time of day.
Model picks vs what happened next
Each model run logs its picks; they are scored once the following session closes (open → close, 0.10% cost). Only picks that passed the regime and event filters count. This is live evidence, separate from the backtest.
Model probabilities are estimates from historical data and can be wrong. The event filter is a price-and-volume proxy, not a news feed. Check liquidity, news and your own risk limits before trading.
How to use this page
A machine-learning model's candidates for the next session, with live confirmation and a suggested position size and stop-loss for each.
- Check the Validation gate first. If it says NOT VALIDATED, use the picks for paper trading only.
- Only consider picks where Regime shows Allowed and Events shows Clear.
- After 9:40 AM wait for CONFIRMED in the Confirmation column (price on the right side of VWAP with strong volume). WAIT means not yet.
- Enter your capital, then use the suggested quantity and place the stop price immediately after entering.
- Stop trading for the day once losses reach the daily loss cap shown in the Risk engine box.
Be careful: The model currently does not meet the validation bar. Do not trade real money on it until the gate shows VALIDATED.
Does the model have an edge?
Two gradient-boosted tree models estimate the chance that each stock's next session moves more than costs, up or down. They retrain every month on earlier data only and are scored on the month that follows. Each filter layer is reported separately so you can see what it adds. Today's picks are in AI Picks.
What each layer adds
Models retrain monthly on all earlier data (last pre-test day purged) and are scored only on the following month. Layers A–C and the baseline are average % per trade; E rows are % of capital after sizing. A t-stat ≥ 2 that holds in both halves is the minimum bar.
Out-of-sample AUC by month
0.50 is a coin flip. Stable values above ~0.53 suggest real, if small, skill.
What the latest long model uses
Share of total split gain. Evenly spread importance (~2–5% each) is what noise looks like; one dominant feature is what a real signal looks like.
The news/event filter is a price-and-volume proxy (abnormal moves, volume shocks, opening gaps): Kite provides no news feed, so a licensed news or corporate-announcement feed is needed for a true news filter. Daily-bar layers cannot see intraday order; the VWAP layer uses real 5-minute bars but covers only ~3 months. Universes are today's curated lists (survivorship bias). This is research evidence, not a promise of returns.
How to use this page
The evidence behind AI Picks: how well the model did on months it had never seen.
- AUC above 0.53 in most months means a small real skill; around 0.50 means guessing.
- In the layer table, see which filters improve results: a higher average and higher t-stat after adding a filter means it helps.
- In Feature importance, a few strong features suggest a real pattern; many small, equal ones suggest noise.
- Re-check this page every week: the model retrains every trading day.
Be careful: This page is for deciding how much to trust AI Picks, not for picking stocks.

How to use this page
Shows how the most active stocks moved over the last 3 sessions and names the pattern.
- Continuation up/down = the trend is continuing. Rebound or Pullback = the direction changed on the last day.
- Use it for context before trading a stock from another module, e.g. be careful buying a stock after three strong up days unless volume confirms.
- Open the stock in Stock Analyzer for the full picture.
Be careful: Patterns describe the past. On their own they do not predict the next day.
Geopolitical · Policy · Results · Developments
Every event flows through status → surprise → exposure → transmission → stock-factor pressure.
Which sectors the news is hitting
Red = negative news flow, green = positive. Newer headlines and government or RBI releases count more.
Stocks with positive news: avoid shorting these
Negative news on the company or its sector, with price confirmation
SHORT WATCH = clearly negative news (score ≤ −1.5) and the price agrees (falling and below VWAP, or engine score ≤ 42). Confirmed picks are logged daily on the Summary page as “News shorts” so their results can be checked.
What the score is based on
Recent Reuters coverage linked Indian market sentiment to Middle East tensions, oil prices and possible US–Iran diplomatic developments. Oil therefore becomes a live intraday transmission channel rather than only an overnight gap input.
Status: monitored · Re-verify before sessionSemicon 2.0 provides a direct policy-to-industry map covering design, machines/materials, fabs, advanced packaging, R&D and talent. This is useful for first- and second-order company exposure analysis.
Primary source: PIB / MeitY · implementation must be re-verifiedReuters reported a 0.4% merchant fee on UPI transactions above ₹2,000 starting 15 Oct 2026, with revenue implications for banks/payment platforms. The engine should map the fee to each company's actual exposure and economics rather than apply a blanket effect.
Status: announced · effective-date countdown requiredThe engine uses actual-versus-consensus surprise, guidance change, margin change and management commentary. The supplied research explicitly notes that a strong reported number can still be a negative stock event when expectations were higher.

Live headlines from Indian business news, the Government of India (PIB) and the RBI, scored by sector and company, plus a short-selling watchlist where negative news and falling prices agree.
- Before the market opens, check Sector news sentiment: a strongly red sector is where short ideas come from.
- In the short-selling watchlist, only consider rows marked SHORT WATCH (negative news and a falling price). Click a headline to read the full story first.
- Short intraday only after 9:40 AM, while the price stays below VWAP, with a stop-loss above the day's high. Close the short by 3:15 PM.
- Never short a stock in Tailwinds, or one with fresh positive company news.
- On result days or after big policy news, use smaller positions: moves can be sudden in either direction.
Be careful: Scores come from keywords in headlines, so a headline can be misread (e.g. “steel prices slump as exports surge”). Always read the story and confirm with official NSE announcements. Overnight short positions are only possible in F&O; cash-segment shorts must be closed the same day.
